South HS presents… Thoroughly Modern Millie – 12/4-12/6 & 12/10-12/10 Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors
The winner of six TONY Awards including Best Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie takes you back to the height of the Jazz Age in New York City, when “moderns” — including our own Millie Dillmount — were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce, and rewriting the rules of love. This high-spirited musical romp is a delightful valentine to the long-standing spirit of New York City and the people who seek to discover themselves there.

One of the longest traditions running in Salem, our choir students will be performing at the Oregon State Capitol from 12:00PM-1:00PM. This concert will feature every choir singing in the Capitol Rotunda! This performance will be recorded and taped by CCTV and will be broadcast around the area over holidays. Parents hoping to attend will want to arrive around 11:30AM to get a seat! Students will be excused from period 3 and will all take first lunch. All singers will need to be in uniform and ready to load the bus promptly at 11:30AM. After our performance, we will take an all choir photo on the steps of the Capitol and return to South around 1:30PM-1:45PM where students are to then report to Period 4. This is one concert you will not want to miss!
