South Choirs are going to San Francisco this year!
On Thursday and today in Chamber Women, Chamber Men, and Symphonic Choirs, students received a packet inviting them to sign-up for the biennial South Salem Choirs’ spring trip. The advanced choirs will travel from March 19-23 and it is one of the highlights of students’ time participating in choir. Our trip will include a choir clinic at San Jose State University, sight-seeing around the Bay Area, trips to Alcatraz, Six Flags, and the Winchester Mystery House, exchanges with other high schools, and a performance at Grace Cathedral.
A copy of the handout that students received in class is here.
The deadline to sign-up for the trip and pay the deposit is Monday, October 14th. Students and chaperones can sign-up through our organizer for the trip Gateway Music Festivals and Tours.
South Salem Music Booster’s Annual Pie Sale begins on Monday, so the time to start raising money toward the cost of the trip in now! Students who have money in their Charms accounts from previous years can use that to pay their deposit and monthly payments.
Parents who would like to attend as chaperones are warmly invited to sign-up as well. The students of the advanced choirs are absolutely wonderful and this is going to be wonderful trip.
In order to keep the cost of the trip reasonably low, the number of students and chaperones is limited to 110 so that we can fit on two coach buses. Be sure to sign up by October 14th.
Students are responsible for sharing their 3-page packets of trip information with you. Please contact Mr. Blume
