Below you will find detailed information on the upcoming performances for our programs. Please notice that while the December 15th’s Jazz Night is being put on by Southernaires only, and December 16th’s Faure “Requiem” concert is involving Symphonic Choir and the South Symphony, you are encouraged to support these groups in these performances that will be an incredible concert for audience members and choir singers!

December 16th Symphonic Choir sings Faure’s Requiem 7:00PM in the Rose Auditorium with the Symphony
Symphonic Choir and the South Symphony have been preparing to collaborate on Faure’s Requiem since their Fall Concerts and this concert is one you will not want to miss. It is rare that high school music departments collaborate on pieces of music that are at such a grand scale. This performance will feature students from all three music organizations at South all on stage for a huge performance. Please arrive early to secure a seat as this performance will likely be a capacity audience! We hope to see choir, band, and orchestra students and parents there!
December 17th The Winter Concert (All Choirs) 7:30PM in the Rose Auditorium, Call time for singers – 6:30PM
The annual Winter Concert will feature every choir South has singing on stage as individuals and closing as one mass choir for the finale piece. From jazz solos to carols to Bach, this concert has something for everyone. Bring your family, friends, and supporters for our last performance before winter break!
This coming Saturday, December 6th, from 10AM-12PM is the time to come pick up poinsettias and wreaths for delivery. You can pick up your orders and forms in front of the Rose Auditorium. Please use the entrance to the high school that is along Howard Street. Students, if you need service hours for IB, NHS, Church, or anything else, please contact Mr. McLean as he has hours available for you on Friday to help prepare for pickup. Thank you for making this fundraiser so awesome for our students, music program, and community!
